WORK FROM HOME LIKE A PRO
Working from home is gradually becoming a normal part of our daily lives. At first glance it sounds like a dream: no more time wasted on traffic or subway every weekday; and all you gotta do every morning is just to brew yourself a nice cup of home-made coffee and roll out of bed to work. However, it is also a double-edged sword. Some people might find it harder to concentrate, and some might even feel isolated as time goes by.
Whether you have a separate room at home, your bedroom, or even a patio to work under this beautiful spring weather, the trick to a relaxing yet productive workday is to make the most out of your home office.
DISTRACT YOURSELF FROM HOME DISTRACTIONS
Have you also noticed that your neck or back is a little sore? Is the neighborhood's garbage truck a little loud and early today? Are your notes scattered everywhere because you’re spending more time sitting with your computer on the couch rather than sitting at a desk? Maybe you have been sitting on a barstool at your kitchen counter to get that work done while having lunch. Maybe it’s easiest for you to sit in your bed or on the floor while you complete your work tasks. These changes in sitting posture and activity levels affect your body and the way that it functions.
The solution is easy and simple: invest in a soft back cushion, footrest and reorganize your desk! It is better to work in a same spot since it will help you maintain productivity, while keeping your body comfortable and relaxed. A pair of good headphones will help block the noise from outside your window. Some sets of desk organizers will keep all your notes & papers in place.
GET COLOURFUL & BE CREATIVE
A dedicated work space in your home helps you set aside household distractions and focus on work. No, it doesn't need to be a separate room, nor a curtain to keep the world away from you. All the best home office spaces have one thing in common: creativity.
People usually find themselves distracted from work at home because, let's be honest, the TV show you're watching the other night, or that pile of laundry from yesterday are more tempting than most. The best way to beat that is to make your work space even more interesting than that. And it could easily be achieved with just a couple of creative gadgets & decorations, and you don't need to break the bank for them either.
